Age 86, of Mooresville, died suddenly at home on May 4, 2025. She was born on July 11th, 1938, in Warren, Ohio to the late Margaret and Homer Hayward. She was preceded in death by stepmother, Frances Hayward. She was a 1960 graduate of Purdue University, School of Home Economics and a member of Phi Mu fraternity, Delta Epsilon Chapter, where she served as chapter president. She later served Phi Mu as National Collegiate Finance Director. Ann was a longtime member of the Home Economist Guild of Indianapolis. In more recent years, she was an active member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Plainfield, where she served the congregation as director of the church's thrift shop. This role brought her immense joy, and she took great pride in the impact the shop had on the community. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and generous spirit.

Ann is survived by her children, Susan (Chris) Destry, David (Darla) Leversen, Eric Leversen, Steve (Becky) Giles, Randy (Julie) Giles, and Todd (Pamela) Giles; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her brothers, Gary Hayward and Robert Parkerson; and her sisters, Sharon Scott and Sandra Fetter, along with their families. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Lyle Giles.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, May 12, from 11 am to 1 pm at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 1 pm. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 pm in Mts.
