Rebecca Kay Atkinson 86, Brownsburg, passed away on December 26, 2023. Becky will be fondly remembered for her love of family, friends, and most of all her Lord Jesus Christ. She always knew early in life that her life's ambition was to have children and a family. As a loving and caring Mother, she will always be remembered for her kind and generous heart and that sweet smile. She loved having a family and was a loyal supporter of her children's activities.

Becky grew up in Shoals, IN and was married in 1961 to Russell Atkinson, also from Shoals. They spent most of their married life in Brownsburg, IN.

Becky was a dedicated member of Connection Pointe Christian Church and spent several years volunteering at the Indiana Girls School giving testimony about her Savior. When she became a grandmother, she also volunteered in the nursery at church just to be around newborns a little more. A good portion of her well-lived life was spent in the House of the Lord.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her loving husband Russell Atkinson; parents James and Laura Marshall. Survivors include her sons Michael (Kelly) Atkinson, Mark (Corinne) Atkinson, Chris (Ember) Atkinson; daughter Caryn Atkinson; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm Fri. Dec. 29 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 12 pm. Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery
