Rebecca M. Engel

87, of Avon, passed away peacefully on the evening of September 19th, 2026. Rebecca was born in Rochester, Minnesota to her parents Lester and Ruth Fletcher on October 16th, 1938. Following her high school graduation and marriage to her beloved husband David Engel, Rebecca dedicated her life to raising her children.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her beloved husband David Engel. She is survived by her children Janet Gentry and Kevin Engel; sister Carol Baas; cherished granddaughter Angela (Joshua) Purdy and great granddaughters Andrea, Rain, and Ally.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th from 12 pm to 1 pm at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services to follow at 1 pm. Rebecca will then be entombed next to her husband in West Ridge Park Cemetery, Indianapolis.
