Richard L.
"Bud" Pedigo
January 20, 1924 – November 15, 2020
Richard L. "Bud" Pedigo
96, Brownsburg, passed away November 15, 2020. Richard was a US Navy veteran of WWII and a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church. He had been a supervisor for Commercial Filters, retiring in 1986 and owned and operated Pedigo's General Merchandise Store in Fayette for 18 years. If you knew Bud he always greeted you wearing his favorite suspenders, a warm smile, and a story to share with you. He was a semi pro baseball pitcher and loved watching his favorite team the Cincinnati Reds. He never met a stranger and was always such a charmer. He loved and adored his wife, sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Bud loved teaching his sons baseball, his grandchildren Euchre and giving them "gourds" on their heads, and baking zucchini bread with his great grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by us all.
His wife Catherine Pedigo, son Richard Pedigo II, and a granddaughter Laura Pedigo-Merilan preceded him in death. Survivors include sons Robert (Danni) Pedigo and Ronald (Kathy) Pedigo; 10 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm Friday Nov. 20 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 1pm. Burial will be in St. Malachy Cemetery. In compliance with current restrictions and regulations, guests are required to wear masks and observe social distancing. If you would like to make a donation in honor of Richard "Bud" you can make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of his loving wife Catherine or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
