Richard William Davis
81, was born June 3, 1938 to Eugene and Othella Davis. He passed away October 20, 2019. He had two brothers, James Davis and Larry Davis, and four sisters Rita and Rose both deceased, and Jane Davis and Carol VanCamp. Richard always loved the open water and sailing. In 1954 he joined the US Navy and trained as part of the Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL. In 1957 he married his first wife Joyce. Richard and Joyce had five children together: Richard E., Raymond Charles., Mary Louise, John William and Sheryl Ann. Richard had a son David Wayne with his second wife. In 1980 Richard met Debra Roseboom, and they were married in 1981. They had a daughter Kathryn Renee. Richard was always proud of his 7 children, 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Richard was a member of St. Malachy Church and the Knights of Columbus. Visitation will be from 10am to 12 noon Tuesday October 22 at St. Malachy Church, Brownsburg, with funeral mass at 12 noon. Burial will follow in St. Malachy Cemetery West, Pittsboro.
