Richard E. Hayden, 60, Pittsboro, passed away April 30, 2017. He was born in Indianapolis on Sept. 19, 1956. Richard graduated from Brownsburg High School in 1974. He received a degree in Business Administration from Indiana Technology Institute. Richard started his career in the medical device manufacturing field and worked as a manager for Puritan Bennett/Tyco, Suros Surgical, and Beckman Coulter. At the time of his death he was a production supervisor for Express Scripts. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, and wood working. He also enjoyed camping and in his youth hiked a portion of the Appalachian Trail. He especially loved family fishing vacations to the many lakes of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his father, Jim; and is survived by his mother Earlene; his wife of 29 years, Anna; his two sons, Patrick and Nicholas Hayden; his sister, Donna (Chris) Rader; his brothers, David (Peggy), Steve (Lisa), and Scott Hayden. Visitation will be from 4-6 pm Fri. May 5 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with memorial services at 6 pm.
