Richard L. Long
73, Pittsboro, passed away January 9, 2021. He had been an auditor for Indiana Insurance Company for 28 years before retiring. He was a member of the Lebanon Elks Club and attended St. Malachy Catholic Church. He was born in Aurora, IL to Ervin and Marjorie Long who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by daughter Beth Long and a brother Dennis Long. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Margaret Long; son Brian Long; brother William Long; sister Patricia Sigmund. Memorial visitation will be from 12 noon to 1pm Thursday January 14 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with memorial service there at 1pm. Inurnment will follow in St. Malachy West Cemetery, Pittsboro. In compliance with current regulations and restrictions, guests are required to wear masks and observe social distancing.
