Robert A. Benge

84, Pittsboro, passed away June 2, 2023. He had owned and operated Bob Benge Super Service in Brownsburg from 1963 to 1999, after serving in the US Navy from 1959-63. After that he was a school bus driver for the Brownsburg Community School Corporation for 15 years. His community service included serving as a volunteer on the Brownsburg Fire Dept., a reserve Brownsburg Police Officer, and a member of the Brownsburg Police Commission. Bob was a member of Connection Pointe Christian Church, Brownsburg American Legion and Past Master of Brownsburg Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Maysel Benge and a sister Faye Servidio. He is survived by his wife Sharon Benge; children R. Brack (Erin) Benge and Leslie (Marty) Hunt; sister Sue Benge; grandchildren Reagan (Zach) Raubinger, Sawyer Benge and Trae Hunt. Bob's favorite pastime was to spend time with family and friends. Visitation will be from 10am to 12 noon Tuesday June 13 at Connection Pointe Christian Church, with funeral services there at 12pm. Burial with military honors will follow in Brownsburg Cemetery.
