Robert E. Burcham, 88, of Brownsburg, passed away on Mar. 14, 2017. He was born May 24, 1928. Bob was a graduate of Ben Davis High School and a member of Chapel Rock Christian Church. He was a State Trooper/Detective Sgt. retiring in 1974. He then became Coordinator of the State Parent Locator for the State of Indiana retiring in 1992. He was a member of Indiana State Police Pioneers, I.S.P. Alliance & Hendricks County FOP. He was preceded in death by brothers Norman, Harvey, and Raymond Burcham. Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sondra (Mickley) Burcham; children Rebecca Schooley, William (Shawn) Burcham, Rex (Kristi) Burcham, David (Becky) Burcham; grandchildren Jason Burcham, Courtney Fisher, Tiffany Burcham, Alex Burcham, Lyndsey Schooley & Tyrus Burcham; 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-7pm Thurs. Mar. 16 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there 11 am Fri. Mar. 17. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Indiana State Police Alliance, 1415 Shelby St., Indianapolis, IN 46203. Interment will be in Floral Park Cemetery.
