Robert E. Carpenter II
73, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army before going on to work in fiberglass engineering at F.E.D. for over 20 years. He was also a longtime member of the Indianapolis VFW.
Robert was  preceded in death by his father Robert Carpenter and brother Steven Carpenter. He is survived by his beloved wife Bertha Carpenter; mother Evelyn Carpenter; son John Carpenter, step-daughter Elizabeth B. Garcia, sister Cathy Jo (Kenneth Lee) Tacoma, grandchildren Antonio Garcia and Luvie L. Jones, and many other dear friends and family members.
Visitation will be from 1 pm to 2 pm on Thursday, January 15 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services to follow at 2 pm. Robert will then be laid to rest in Brownsburg Cemetery.
