Robert "Bob" Maynard Garner, 66, of Brownsburg, Indiana, died peacefully on July 28, 2016 surrounded by his loving wife and two daughters. Bob was born on December 19, 1949 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Keith and Midge Garner. He graduated from Brownsburg High School in 1968 and went on to complete his Bachelor of Science at Purdue University in 1972. On May 21, 1983 he married Sherry Di Biaggio in Marshall, Michigan. Since the age of 16, Bob spent most of his life working on or for the railroad industry. He served many roles throughout his career including being Rail Manager for Indiana Department of Transportation, consultant for the CSX acquisition of Conrail and also past chairman of the Indiana Railroad Transportation Group. Prior to retirement in 2009, Bob was President of KB&S Railroad. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Indianapolis Colts, playing euchre, and especially spending time with and taking care of his family. Bob is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sherry; children, Kathleen and Jacki Garner. Public visitation will take place at Matthews Mortuary, 690 East 56th Street, Brownsburg, on Monday August, 1, 2016 from 11am - 1 pm, with funeral services there at 1pm officiated by Father Jegan Peter. Interment will follow at Brownsburg Cemetery. Family requests memorial contributions to be made to the charity of your choice
