Robert "Bob" J. Garner, 75, of Lebanon, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born in Indianapolis, IN to Robert J. and Mary Belle (Winings) Garner. He graduated from Scecina High School in 1960 and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Bob was employed for more than 30 years as a plant maintenance supervisor for National Starch & Chemical Company. He was able to retire early, and he spent much of his retirement gardening and taking care of his small farm. He also enjoyed reading, bargain hunting and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Bob was a loving father and grandfather, and he was a friend to all. Bob is survived by daughters Deanna Garner of Indianapolis, IN, and Denise McGuire of Mooresville, IN; son Damon Garner of Indianapolis, IN; and seven grandchildren. A private gathering to scatter his ashes will be held by his family in the spring.
