Robert E. Luedke, 79, of Brownsburg, IN and San Antonio, TX, passed away peacefully at his home in Brownsburg on March 23. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Dorothy (Bloomberg) Luedke, and his sister Sylvia Garry. He is survived by his sister, Karen Buchholz, and his three children: Scott (Kathy) Luedke of Dallas, TX; Rob (Beth) Luedke of Denver, CO; and Shelley Hicks of Brownsburg, IN. He also leaves behind five grandchildren; Emily Luedke, Ben Luedke, Alexandra Luedke, Mason Hicks, and Tanner Hicks. Bob was born in Rochester, MN on March 18, 1938. He graduated from high school in Kenyon, MN and attended the University of Minnesota, graduating with a degree in pharmacy. After college, Bob joined the army and was stationed in San Antonio TX. In 1962, he began working for Eli Lilly & Company as a pharmaceutical sales representative covering a large portion of the Upper Midwest. Following a 34-year career with Eli Lilly, Bob retired in 1994 as its Executive Director of International Marketing and Development. During retirement, Bob loved tinkering with his antique cars, playing golf with friends, traveling throughout the US, and hosting family gatherings at Thanksgiving. Most of all, Bob enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Pop Pop". A visitation will be held on Friday, March 31 from 12pm-2pm at Matthews Mortuary, 690 East 56th Street, Brownsburg IN, 46112. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
