Robert D. Smiley Sr., 88, Avon, passed away Dec. 4, 2017. He had been an electrician for Ford Motor Co., retiring in 1989. He was a US Navy WWII and Korean War veteran and a member of Faith Baptist Church, Avon. His wife of 62 years Patricia Smiley and sons Stephen and David Smiley preceded him in death. Survivors include sons Robert (Cathy) Smiley and Patrick (Donna) Smiley; daughter-in-law Michaelene Smiley; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10am to 12 noon Friday Dec. 8 at Faith Baptist Church, Avon, with funeral services there at 12 noon. Entombment will be in Floral Park Cemetery.
