Robert L. Szewc
84, Brownsburg, passed away September 15, 2022. He attended Brownsburg High School before graduating from Ben Davis High School in 1955. Robert proudly served in the US Air Force from 1956-60. A purchasing agent for My-Te Products for over 20 years, he retired in 2002. He had been a drummer for different bands that played in various local venues. A member of the Indy Hot Wheels Club, he was an avid collector of model trains, stamps, coins and hot wheels. His wife Linda Szewc, parents Leo and Martha Szewc, sister Rosemary Fording preceded him in death. Survivors include children R. Todd Szewc (Megan) and Tara Sheringer (John); niece Kim Hodges (Jim); brother Karl Szewc (Kerrin); grandchildren Julia Sheringer, Nicholas Szewc, Alex Szewc and Nora Szewc; other nieces and nephews Kelly Hassler (Ed), Kris Renner, Curt Bailey and Clint Bailey (Chris). Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm Monday September 19 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services at 1pm. Burial with military honors will follow in Lizton K of P Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tri West Dollars for Scholars, North West Hendricks School Corp., P.O. Box 70, Lizton, IN 46149.
