Robert Lee Wethington , Jr

Robert (Bobby, Bob) passed away peacefully in his home on February 12th, 2022 after a two year battle with esophageal cancer. He was born August 10th, 1963, in Frankfurt Germany, the son of Robert L. Wethington and Margot B. Thurston.

After graduation he served in the United States Army for 6 years as an MP receiving several commendations. The majority of that time was in Germany. After leaving the Army he resided in Germany for approximately 17 years. While there he traveled the world as a Fabricator. Upon returning to the United States he continued his
career as a Fabricator, leaving The Dalton Group in early 2020 after his cancer diagnosis.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his niece Katie Snow; aunts and uncles Martha Hicks, Doyel Hicks, Lilburn Wethington, Jim Wethington: cousins Debbie Gaffney and Travis Brock. He is survived by his sister, Sherri Snow; nephew Corey Sears (Morgan) and great niece Isabell Sears. Close cousins Tracey Bryan (Bill); Lisa Birge (Chris); Gary Wethington (Phyliss) and Cindy Gordon. His aunts Fayetta Brunner (Jerry) and Sharon Garrett.

Family was important to Bobby and when he felt up to it he loved to get together and play cards.

A service of remembrance and committal will be held at 11am Wednesday February 23 at Bethesda Cemetery, Brownsburg. Those who wish to remember him in a special way may make donations in his name to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org
