Roger A. Crawford

71, Brownsburg, passed away on July 13, 2022.  He retired from Allison Transmission in 2014 with nearly 33 years of service between General Motors, Saturn Corporation and Allison Transmission. Roger was "Mr. Race", an avid fan of anything and everything racing. Indianapolis Motor Speedway and NHRA racing was his passion. He was a member of the Harley Owners Group and enjoyed riding his motorcycles. Roger was Lakota Sioux and supported his Native American community. He was generous, kind and would give you the shirt off his back, whether you were his best friend or just met. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Sarah Crawford; sister Sharon McRae.  Survivors include his wife Elaine Crawford; son Derek (Erica) Crawford; daughter Brandi (Jared) Crocker; brother Ron Crawford; grandchildren Luke Crawford, Zac Crawford, Clara Crocker, and James Crocker.  Memorial visitation will be from 2 pm to 4 pm Wed. July 20 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with memorial services there at 4 pm.  Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org
