Romeo Estacio, a 92-year-old resident of Brownsburg, Indiana, peacefully departed this life at his home on February 14, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. We will miss him more than words can say.

Romeo Estacio, born to Ramon and Jovita Estacio on February 3, 1932, in Taal Batangas, Philippines, lived a life marked by kindness, ambition, empathy, athleticism, family devotion, religious faith, and reliability. He was a survivor of the Japanese occupation of the Philippines and shared numerous accounts of the hardships endured during that period, captivating his children and grandchildren with his stories.

For 35 years, Romeo served as a physician, demonstrating unwavering dedication and providing empathetic, high-quality care to his patients. He started his training in orthopedic surgery with Dr. Theodore Fox who was the team physician for the Chicago Bears and pioneer in the field of sports medicine. He worked several years at Ravenswood Hospital in Chicago. Subsequently, Romeo spearheaded the growth and development of the Hammond Clinic in Munster, Indiana, contributing significantly to its expansion over three decades.

In his free time, Romeo enjoyed playing tennis, golf, collecting cars and travelling around the world with his beloved wife of more than 60 years.  Most importantly, he treasured the time with his family, especially valuing the times with his grandchildren. Romeo had a heart of gold - always thoughtful and ever so caring. No one was ever a stranger, always making each person feel at home. We will always remember the laughter brought on by his entertaining golf mishaps, casino experiences, and other countless events.

Romeo leaves behind his beloved wife, Belen, and his cherished children, Ray (Robin), Ron Estacio, Marissa Hadley (Ty); his treasured grandchildren Adam-min, Camille (Ian), Marcus, Ellie, Aubrey (Nathan), Jared (Maggie), Bryce and Bailey; his siblings, Nora, Honesto, Gary, Ben and Naning; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation which will be held from 4:00pm - 7:00pm on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Matthews Mortuary, 690 E 56th St, Brownsburg, IN 46112. A service to celebrate Romeo's remarkable life will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 9:00am at St. Malachy Church, 9833 E County Rd 750 N, Brownsburg, IN 46112. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org

Romeo's memory will forever live on in our hearts! We love you to the moon and back and more. May he Rest In Peace.
