Ronald D. Addler age 76, Avon, formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away Aug. 18, 2011. He was US Marine Corp veteran and a member of the Crawfordsville American Legion. He had been a firefighter for the Crawfordsville Fire Dept., retiring in 1981. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Christina Addler and brother Raymond Addler Jr. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Beverly Addler; children David (Annmarie) Addler, Denise Bault, and Debra (Mike) Walters; grandchildren Heather Thompson, Melanie Brown, Jacob Walters, and Mitchell Addler; great grandchildren Andrew Michael Thompson, Alex Matthew Thompson, and Colin Krieger. Memorial services will be 11am Thurs. Aug. 25 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with visitation from 10-11am. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.  www.americanheart.org
