Ronald Wesley Davidson May 24, 1949 – June 1, 2025
Ronald Wesley Davidson, 76, of Hendricks County, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025. Born on May 24, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Ron was the beloved son of Wesley and Novice Davidson. He is preceded in death by his father, Wesley, and his brother, Allen Davidson.
Ron is lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Pamela Davidson; his mother, Novice Davidson; his siblings, Rebecca (Mark) Stoner and Thomas Davidson; his children, Greg (Christi) Davidson and Denise (Robbie) Grimes; his grandchildren, Austin Davidson, Summer Rose (Cole) Burkeen, Chayton (Ava) Davidson, Courtney (Joel) Godsey, Jadyn Grimes, Brady Grimes, and Micah Grimes; and his cherished great-grandchildren, River Boon Burkeen and Aurora Lane Godsey.
Ron was a proud graduate of Washington High School (Class of 1967), earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Indiana University in 1982, and went on to complete his MBA from Indiana Wesleyan in 1991. A dedicated patriot, he served in the Army National Guard for eight years.
Professionally, Ron had a long and successful career. He retired after 22 years of service at General Motors/Rolls Royce and continued his strong work ethic at FedEx, where he retired after 10 years.
Ron was a man of many passions. He loved boating, golf, and proudly served the local Yacht Club as Commodore and board member. Yet, his greatest joy came from time spent with his family—especially celebrating the blessings of new marriages and welcoming great-grandchildren.
Above all, Ron's life was marked by servant leadership. He faithfully served with his church his whole adult life as Deacon, Choir Member and Sunday School teacher, including a church plant in 2008 serving as small group leader and volunteer maintenance worker as a humble and devoted servant of God until his passing.
Ron will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering faith in God, and deep devotion to his family and community.
A celebration of Ron's life will be held at Radiant Bible Church in Avon, Indiana, on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to Radiant Bible Church.
