Ronald Lowry

69, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022. He is survived by his son, Zachary (Katherine) Lowry of Cincinnati, OH and two beloved grandchildren Brianna and Mia. He is also survived by mother Sarah Love; sisters Debra (Tim) Vandagrifft and Sue Pate; Nephew Tim Bicknell and niece Sara (Josh) Deal. He is preceded in death by his father Earl Lowry and nephew Tony Bicknell.

Ron was born on May 12, 1952, in Indianapolis, IN. Early in his life he was an avid scuba diver and instructor. For a majority of his career, he drove semis for several companies such as Marathon Oil, D-A Lubricant, and most recently Jet Star.

He seemed to love the road but really enjoyed returning home to his son, who he was so proud of, and watching his granddaughters grow. They truly were the apple of his eye. As children he never missed a yearly trip to the pumpkin patch, dressing up for trick-or-treat, attending the many soccer matches and basketball games (whether in person or virtual), and all the birthdays and graduations. He never missed an opportunity to spend time with them.

Ron's interest were diverse and could find him watching western movies, LSU games, NASCAR races, and was a creative painter and poet.

Visitation will be from 4 pm to 6 pm Fri. Jan. 28 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services at 6 pm.
