Royal E. Secor

94, Plainfield, passed away peacefully on Nov. 16, 2025.  Royal was a member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church and devout in his faith.  He was a US Air Force veteran serving in the Korean War from 1951 to 1955 and a member of the Brownsburg American Legion Post 331.  Royal was a proud graduate of Purdue University.  He worked for RCA as a civil engineer for 29 years.  Royal was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Delores Secor; parents Norris and Hazel Secor; brothers Bruce Secor, Cloyce Secor; sister Janet Walters.  Survivors include his son Greg Secor; daughter Karen (Jeff) Johnson; sisters Delores Baker, Marlene (Dean) Gilkerson, Kathleen Thibos, Sherry (Dave) Chapman, Bonita (Tom) Kapla; brothers Larry (Jan) Secor, Glen (Karen) Secor, Wendell (Theresa) Secor; grandchildren Brian (Jenny) Secor, Tommy Secor, Adam (Amanda) Johnson, Kayla (Tyler) Singleton; great grandchildren Natalie Secor, Nicki Secor, Witt Royal Johnson, Eli Singleton, Emersyn Singleton.  Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm Thurs. Nov. 20 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg.  Funeral services will be at 11 am Fri. Nov. 21 at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 9201 E. CR 100N, Avon, IN 46123, with visitation one hour prior from 10 am to 11 am.  Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Shepherd Lutheran Church.
