Ruby Lucile Cecil (Fogt)
98, Brownsburg, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024 in her home.  She was born on June 15, 1925 in Shelby County, Ohio, to Herbert O. and Mary B. (Zorn) Fogt.  She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Brownsburg.  She retired from General Motors.  Ruby loved sewing and making crafts.  She and her daughter Karen often took her home-made crafts to Fairs in the area.  Ruby is survived by her daughter Karen (Wissam) Saab of North Charleston, South Carolina.  Ruby is also survived by a brother, the Rev. Eugene (Mona) Fogt of Sugar Land, Texas.  Her husband, Richard C. Cecil, whom she had celebrated 75 years of marriage, preceded her in death in 2014.  Her parents, three brothers, Norman Fogt, Virgil Fogt and Herbert Fogt, three sisters, Wilda Fogt, Miriam Holtkamp, and Doris Mays, four sisters-in-law, Carolyn Fogt, Donna Ruth Fogt, Fae Fogt and Ada Fogt and brothers-in-law, Charlie Holtkamp, and Robert Mays, also preceded her in death.  Visitation will be from 12 pm to 1 pm Thurs. May 30 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 1 pm.  Entombment will be in West Ridge Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 701 E. Tilden Dr., Brownsburg, IN 46112
