Ruth Burroughs

Beloved wife of the late Jerry "JB" Burroughs and cherished friend too many, passed away on May 11, 2024.  Ruth was a dedicated bookkeeper, first with Lumber One in Brownsburg, Indiana, and later with Priority Printing, where she spent many years supporting her colleagues with diligence and grace.

Born and raised in Covington, IN, Ruth found joy and purpose in her career and in the company of her loved ones.  Her marriage to Jerry "JB" Burroughs was a testament to enduring love and companionship, and his passing left an indelible mark on her heart.

Ruth is survived by her brother, Marvin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember the kindness and warmth she brought to family gatherings and their lives.  Her extended family  of friends, affectionately known as "The Fun Committee," will especially miss her.  They were sisters in adventure, sharing countless memorable moments and a bond that transcended the ordinary.

Visitation will be from 12 pm to 2 pm Fri. May 24 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 2 pm.  Burial will be in Lizton K of P Cemetery.  Ruthie Burroughs will be remembered for her unwavering loyalty, her joyful spirit, and the love she shared with all who knew her.  Ruthie was the daughter of the late Francis Arthur Hayden and Martha Ellen Hayden (Barnett).
