Sandra Sue Redenbarger Lencke age 64, Brownsburg, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Brazil, Indiana, Sandy was a remarkable woman, one whose humor and kindness touched many lives. She was many things to many people: a dedicated teacher for 35 years, a loving wife of 41 years, a devoted sister, an amazing mother, the best grandma ever, and a friend to all. Preceded in death by both of her parents, Sandy leaves behind a family full of love: husband Emory; children Mary Beth Lencke, Katie Young, Ben Lencke, and Joe Lencke; son-in-law Chris Young; daughters-in-law Brianna Lencke and Elizabeth Lencke; grandchildren Abbi and Rusty Young and Emmett Lencke; two sisters Vicki Lynn Gaunt and Jayne Homco. She also leaves her memory with hundreds of students and families within the community. She truly loved all children. Visitation will be 4-8pm Thurs. Sept. 8 at Calvary United Methodist Church, Brownsburg, with a church service at 10am Fri. Sept. 9. A graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery in Harmony, Indiana following Friday's church service. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Indiana chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, a cause near and dear to Sandy's heart.
