Shannon Kay (Brewer) Emmert, 47, was called to her heavenly home Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at IU West Hospital, Avon, Indiana. She was born on February 20, 1975 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She is the beloved daughter of Donald E. and Nancy (Eslinger) Brewer, Jr.

In 1997, Shannon graduated from Butler University with a degree in Music Education and a Master Degree in Education. She taught orchestra at Lincoln Middle School Pike Township retiring in 2021 after 21 years of teaching.

Shannon married Ronald J. Emmert on May 20, 2000. They celebrated 22 years together.

Shannon is survived by her parents; husband, sons, Eli, Evan and Elan; brothers, Justin (Lisa) Brewer and Lance (Allison) Brewer; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Greta Emmert (Robert Phillips), Grady (Allison), Peter (Alma), Dwight, and Jay (Amanda). She is survived by many cherished nieces and nephews and her pet dog Resee.

Shannon will always remain close in our hearts by cherished memories until we meet again in Heaven. Shannon is Ron, Eli, Evan and Elan's everything. May we all remember to celebrate each day with music and laughter in her memory.

On Wednesday, July 6, 2022, visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and service at 1:00 p.m. at Matthews Mortuary, 690 E. 56 ^th Street, Brownsburg, Indiana 46112. Pastor Darrell Brooks is officiating. Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery, Brownsburg, Indiana.
