Shirley M. Thompson

89, Brownsburg, passed away on September 17, 2024.  She was a member of Connection Pointe Christian Church, Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority and was a Welcome Wagon hostess.  Shirley was a graduate of Indiana State University and taught Physical Education at several Indianapolis High Schools and later became a kindergarten teacher for Brownsburg Christian Church.   She was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie Thompson; parents Raymond and Wilma Wright; brother Richard Wright.  Survivors include her son Blaine (Jinjer) Thompson; daughter Elisa (Marc) Rifkind; 12 Grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.  Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm Tues. Sept. 24 at Connection Pointe Christian Church, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 1 pm.  Burial will be in West Ridge Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Connection Pointe Christian Church.
