Steven R. Deckard

51, Brownsburg, passed away peacefully July 21, 2023. Steve graduated from Brownsburg High School and attended Vincennes University where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Steve worked as a Construction Superintendent and Project Manager for over 25 years with the last several years working for TWG Construction.  Steve was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and son. He was a true friend to everyone he met. He is survived by his wife Margaret Deckard: children Lauren M. Deckard, Steven R Deckard II (wife Samantha), and John F.L. Deckard; parents Russell and Karen Deckard; sister Jeannie Deckard-Jinkins (husband Larry); brother Matthew A. Deckard (wife Lisa); and six grandchildren whom he loved and adored. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm Wednesday July 26 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services following there at 1pm.
