Susan E. Hoover
71, Stilesville, passed away March 19, 2023 from complications of cancer. She had been a faithful and dedicated special education teacher for Avon Community School Corporation at Maple Elementary for 28 years, retiring in 2009. Susan had received her Bachelor's degree from Taylor University and her Master's degree from Wesleyan University. Her love for teaching was exceeded only by her love for her grandsons and being involved in their activities. She was a "full-time" grandma. Her parents Richard and Charlotte Ann Puckett preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Michael Hoover; children Michelle Brennan and Scott Hoover (Kelly); brother Jay Puckett (Kris); sister Jane Rockwell (Kenneth); and grandsons Blake, Cole and Max Brennan. Visitation will be from 4-7pm Wednesday March 22 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 10am Thursday March 23.
