Thelma L. Knopp Avon, went home to be with her Lord and Savior June 14, 2011. She had worked for Allison Transmission for 48 years, retiring in 2006. She was a member of Plainfield Christian Church. Survivors include husband Larry Knopp; daughters Joni Stinger and Kelly (Damon) Knopp-Palmer; brothers William Kappel, Donald Kappel, and Richard Kappel; sisters Pauline Record, Wilma Hastings, and Nora Kelly; grandchildren Danielle Stinger and Alexandria Stinger. Funeral services will be 10am Sat. June 18 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with visitation there from 4-8pm Fri. June 17. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
