Thomas L. Haskett
81, Brownsburg, passed away Jan. 1, 2014. He had been a federal executive for more than 42 years, retiring in 2004, and served in the US Marines from 1952-55. After retirement he wintered in Anna Maria Island. He graduated from Rockford College and received his masters degree in public administration from Syracuse University. An avid fisherman, he was also a diehard Cubs and Bears fan and served as a yellow shirt at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Haskett; stepchildren Anne DeHart, Peggy Gurchiek (Bill), Susan Keating (Terry Mace), Patrick Keating (Leigh), and Craig Berkeley (Debbie); 8 step grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10am to noon Sat. Jan. 4 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, followed by burial with military honors at 2pm Sat. at Highland Lawn Cemetery, Terre Haute, IN.
