Van A. Sanford
72, Greencastle, passed away on March 16, 2019.
He was a member of the Greencastle American Legion and the NRA. Van was a 1988 heart transplant recipient and was on his 31st year miracle to life. He loved to sing and play guitar and had a passion for music and enjoyed performing magic tricks. He was an animal lover and was near and dear to his current dog and best friend Sadie. Survivors include son, Christopher D. Sanford; daughter, Mindy (Russ Bucy) Sanford; brothers, Jerry and Steven Sanford; granddaughter, Alisha Catterson and two great grandchildren, Mason and Alaric Catterson. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Thurs. March 21 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with memorial services there at 6:30 pm.
