Vernon E. Shepherd, 81, Avon, passed away Dec. 24, 2017. He had been a graphic arts sales representative for Priority Press and was a US Air Force veteran. He was a member of Avon Heights Church of Christ and the Hendricks County Honor Guard. Survivors include his wife Joy Shepherd; children Mike Shepherd and Meredith Parsons; sister Anne Realey; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10am-12noon Thursday Dec. 28 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 12 noon. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Brownsburg.
