Victor D. Merz, age 71, Brownsburg, passed away Dec. 7, 2014. He had retired from El Paso Energy, New Windsor, IL as an electrical engineer. He was a US Air Force veteran and a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his wife Loretta Merz and a brother Richard Merz. Survivors include sons James Merz and Stephen (Rebecca) Merz; grandchildren Brandon, Zachary and Alyssa Merz. Visitation will be 11am-1pm Fri. Dec. 12 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 1pm. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
