Walter William "Bill" Shank
78, of Avon, passed away on March 31st, 2026. Bill proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970 before also serving 2 years in the Army Reserves. He then went on to work as a respected electrician for Indianapolis Power and Light for over 32 years. Bill was a longtime member of the Brownsburg American Legion, Masonic Lodge, and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents George Shank and Margaret Langley. He is survived by his beloved wife Carolyn Shank; son James (Kalyn) Shank; sister Carol (Jack) Fleener; and grandson Keegan Stuart.
A memorial visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 8th from 1 pm to 3 pm at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with memorial services to follow at 3 pm.
