Wayne G. Thurman

68, Brownsburg, passed away on March 12, 2022.  He was a US History and Government teacher at Brownsburg Community School Corporation for 35 years, retiring in 2010.  He was a graduate of Indiana State University where he met his wife, Donna.  A popular teacher, he loved his students and they loved him. Wayne was an avid gardener and loved to read.  Famous for his horse impressions, Wayne never met a stranger.  He was preceded in death by his parents William and Lillian Thurman.  Survivors include his wife Donna Thurman; children Tiffany Delp (husband Chris) and Nathan Thurman (wife Leah); sisters Letitia "Tita" Reed (husband Gary), Rita Ruth Jones, and Rebecca "Becky" Leath; grandchildren Elizabeth Delp, Benedict Douglas Delp and Evelina "Evie" Kay Thurman; many nieces and nephews.  Graveside services will be held at 2pm Friday March 18 at Fairfield Friends Cemetery, Camby, IN.  Donations may be made to Gleaners Food Bank, 3737 Waldemere Ave., Indianapolis, IN  46241 and/or Seaside Seabird Sanctuary, 18328 Gulf Blvd., Indian Shores, FL 33785
