William P. Comer

Retired Indianapolis firefighter and father, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2020.  He was 74.  Bill was born in Indianapolis on February 20, 1946 to Donald D. and Minnie B. Comer.  He attended Washington High School and the University of Haughville.  In 1969, he joined the Indianapolis Fire Department where he served for 15 years and received many commendations for courage and valor.  Bill loved his family, horses, perfecting his lottery technique and having a good time.  He was always the life of the party.  He was preceded in death by his parents Don and Minnie Comer; son Billy Comer.  Survivors include his daughters Raquel Comer and Lesa Saylor, sons Clay Comer, Kyle Comer; and sister Donna Pearl; granddaughter Kyndall Zunk.  A Celebration of Life service will be held April 24, 2021 from 1-4pm at Bundy Lodge at Arbuckle Acres in Brownsburg.
