William "Bill" J. Hueber

Pittsboro, IN, age 87, departed this life on Jan. 3, 2019.  A memorial service with Pastor Todd Outcalt officiating will be held at 12:30 pm Fri. Jan. 11, 2019 at Calvary United Methodist Church, Brownsburg, IN, with a time of refreshments and visitation following in Fellowship Hall.  Private graveside services will be held at Bethesda Cemetery, Brownsburg.  He was a graduate of Manual Training High School.  He had been employed at Esterline Angus and Mallory Controls as an engineer.  He was a recipient of two US Patents.  Bill was a veteran of the USAF having served during the Korean Conflict.  He was an active member of Calvary United Methodist Church and Brownsburg American Legion Post 331.  Bill believed in helping in civil government affairs.  He had been a member of several County and Town groups.  He served a term on the Pittsboro Town Council and was president of the council for three years.  Just prior to his death, he served as the President of the Pittsboro Board of Police Commissioners for three years.  He was one of the founding members of that group.  He received a plaque from that agency for his years of service to the community.  Bill was preceded in death by his parents and numerous cousins.  He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rakie Hueber; sons William F. (Connie J.) Hueber of Rising Sun, IN, Mark W. (Charissa A.) Hueber of Zionsville, IN, Stuart R. (Lisa D.) Hueber of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.  In lieu of flowers, Bill requested that donations be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, Brownsburg or the Pittsboro Indiana Police Department Scholarship Fund.  Arrangements entrusted to Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg.
