Obituary

William Robert Mason, 72, of Brownsburg, IN passed away at his home on June 12, 2025 with his wife Diana by his side.

Bill graduated from North Putnam High School in 1971 then served his country in the United States Navy. Upon his return he enjoyed working with his stepfather doing brick and concrete work. For ten years he worked at the New Market Lumber Company driving a concrete truck. He used that skill to obtain a lifelong position with UPS as a feeder driver in the Teamsters Union. He retired in 2014. He then filled his extra time as a Chauffeur.

Bill enjoyed traveling and was a lifelong motorcycle rider and scuba diver. He enjoyed entertaining others with his disarming wit, though his biggest passions in life were his wife "Tater", his grandchildren, and music.

He was preceded in death by his son, William Robert Mason II, parents William Mason and P. Susan Martin, step-father Earl Martin, Jr; and sister Vickie Stevens. He is survived by his loving wife Diana Mason, daughter Angel (Taylor) Mason-Kirkhoff, stepdaughter Leigh (Ashton) Brown, sisters Linda (Richard) Taylor, and Carol Mason-Smith-Frazier-Schrenk-Lawrence-Frazier-Mason, brother Donald (Diana "Curly" Mason), grandchildren Emily Murdock, Hailey and Avery Schoettle, Anna Jimenez, and Lucas Brown. He had several nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 19th at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, IN. A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM

As Bill requested, Diana will spread his ashes in the ocean that he loved so much at a later date.
