William "Bill" A. Soeurt

89, Pittsboro, passed away on March 1, 2024.  He was born in Indianapolis on March 13, 1934.  Family was the most important thing in the world to him.  He married the love of his life, Barbara, on June 15, 1957 and they had three children.  Bill volunteered his time as a Team Manager, Board Member and Director of Maintenance and Grounds for Eagledale Little League for over 20 years.  He was an Engineer for EAR Specialty Composites retiring after 17 years.  Previously he worked for Bridgeport Brass Company for 24 years as a Draftsman and Engineer.  Following retirement, at the age of 62, he spent the next year designing and personally building the home of their dreams.  Bill was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Soeurt; parents William and Helen Soeurt; sister Joanie Jones; and great-granddaughter Tessera Joy Wilcox.  Survivors include his son William Douglas (Shannon) Soeurt; daughters Debra (Rick) Wilcox and Dana (Dennis) Shirrell; grandchildren Christina and William Joshua (Emily) Soeurt, James (Elisa) Wilcox and LeeAnn (Paul) Hoffman, Kaylee and Krystal Shirrell; great-grandchildren William Patrick and Violet Soeurt, Aurora, Genevieve, and Tobias Wilcox, and Lincoln and Benjamin Hoffman.  Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm Saturday, March 16, at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services at 12 pm.  Burial will be in Lizton K of P Cemetery.
