Wilma Fern Burns
91, Brownsburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 12, 2013. Wilma was born Dec. 9, 1921, to Roy and Wanda Johnson. She was a homemaker, loving to quilt and paint still-life. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren have baby quilts and Raggedy Ann and Andys made by "Granny." One of Wilma's passions was teaching Sunday School for boys and girls at her home church, Bethesda Baptist in Brownsburg. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. Burns; two sons, James M. and Robert G. Burns; four sisters and three brothers. She is survived by daughter Judith A. Jackson (Dr. Lloyd Jackson); son Bruce K. Burns (Jeannie Burns); and daughters-in law, Nancy and Betty Burns; 13 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1pm Mon., July 15, at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with visitation from 11am to 1pm. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery.
