Wilma Louise Hout
69, Brownsburg, passed away in her home on June 9, 2022. Wilma was born on July 25, 1952 in Terre Haute. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Dorothy Pitts; daughter Tammy Notter; sisters Carolyn Dickerson, Deborah Hann. Survivors include her children Angie (Dan) List, Sherry (Kim Nolin) Notter, Rob (Ashly Pryor) Notter; brothers James Pitts, Michael Pitts; sisters Linda Austin, Tana Schuyler; grandchildren Channelle, Anthony, Stacy, Vanessa, Courtney, Emily, Nicholas; 12 great grandchildren.

Wilma attended Gerstmeyer High School in Terre Haute and went on to be a stay-at-home mom. In later years, she joined the workforce and recently retired from Guitar Center. Wilma believed in putting your best foot forward and was recognized for her contributions on multiple occasions. During her tenure, she was awarded employee of the month and employee of the year. She enjoyed decorating her desk area for the holidays and greeting her colleagues each day with a "good morning" and a smile. During breaks and lunches, you could find Wilma with her friends, the golden girls.

Wilma enjoyed shopping, decorating her patio in the spring, watching her daytime soap operas, searching for treasures at garage sales, watching a favorite romantic movie, going on vacations, and decorating her home for Christmas. Most importantly, Wilma enjoyed spending time with her family in Indiana and California.

Wilma's Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 22 at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg. Visitation begins at 11am, and the memorial service begins at 1pm. Afterward, please join Wilma's family and friends at Bundy Lodge in Brownsburg for a reception. Feel free to wear something purple, Wilma's favorite color.
