Richard (Dick) Warrick, 66, Indianapolis, died on November 13, 2014 at Manor Care Prestwick in Avon after a courageous battle against cancer. Mr. Warrick was born on March 13, 1948 in Indianapolis to the late Milton R. Warrick and Elizabeth (Shepard) Warrick. Mr. Warrick graduated from Brownsburg, IN high school in 1968. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War as a Combat Photographer. Richard worked for the State of Indiana as a heavy equipment operator and for the City of Indianapolis as a Planner retiring in 2006 .A car enthusiast and race fan he had tickets to the Indy 500 and Brickyard 400 and enjoyed cheering on Helio Castroneves and Tony Kanaan, Dale Earnhardt and Tony Stewart. Mr. Warrick was preceded in death by his parents and brother David Warrick. He is survived by his loving wife and caregiver of 35 years Laura (Pyron) Warrick, son James (Stephanie) Warrick, daughter Katie Warrick and grandson Mike King. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday November 18, 2014 at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg, IN with visitation from 4-7pm Monday November 17, 2014.
